much pressure in pounds steel can withstand before breaking.
The rod of steel used in the test. It's getting thinner as the
pressure goes up. Why? Because it's stretching to accomodate
the extra pressure on it. There are small cracks starting to form
on the surface of the rod, but you can't see it.
The BIG pop from the steel rod. It couldn't hold any more pressure
on the rod, so in order to relieve the stress on the rod, it breaks.
Allison the engineer! What do you think? My first steps
towards the path of engineerdom.
After the engineering presentation is over, the boys goof around on
break. The victim? Mike and his shoes.
